    Protect yourself from spending too much by utilizing alert preferences in online and mobile banking.  These real-time alerts can send you any combination of an email, text message or in-app message when your balance falls below a pre-determined amount.  Alerts can also be set up to notify you when a transaction is above a pre-determined amount.  Receiving balance and transaction alerts can keep your spending top of mind and will help you make good financial decisions.

    To activate alerts, visit your account from online or mobile banking and choose ‘Alert Preferences’.
     
  4. AUTOMATIC TRANSFERS & BILL PAY
    Automating a deposit into your savings account is a great way to make a habit of investing.  Select ‘Transfer’ from your online or mobile banking dashboard and choose ‘More Options’ to customize the frequency.  In addition, our robust online and mobile banking platform allows you to customize the name of your accounts.  For example, if you have labeled an account as your ‘house down payment’, you are less likely to dip into it for something else.

    Setting up bill pay can ensure you pay your bills on time, avoid late fees and improve your credit…all saving your hard-earned dollars.  To get started, select the ‘Bill Pay’ tab in Online Banking.
     
  5. CARD MANAGEMENT
    The ability to temporarily lock your debit card with Fidelity Bank & Trust’s online and mobile banking is a convenient option and could save you money if your card is lost or stolen.  It’s as simple as locating the ‘Card Management’ section on your dashboard in online or mobile banking.  You can toggle the green radio button between active and locked for any debit card associated with your Fidelity Bank & Trust accounts.  A locked debit card will temporarily suspend any transactions using the debit card number associated.  You may also report your debit card as lost or stolen under 'Card Management' which will permanently deactivate your debit card and begin the process to reissue you a new one.

    The Card Management feature is also a great tool to prep children for using a debit card when parents still want to enforce financial boundaries.
